picked up this well worn walnut burl chair for $10 at a garage sale. The seat was covered in some darn ugly green fabric, which I removed and recovered with my own embellished design. I painted the seat frame black and just refreshed the rest of the chair with some Old English.
I think it turned out great!
How wonderful (and delightfully not expected) to see a chair that was refurbished and not painted! I fear that in 10 years time a lot of folks will regret painting everything in sight!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I loved the burl on the back slat of this chair so much! A little Old English did wonders for it. I can't imagine covering it's natural beauty with a coat of paint =:O
